Scribe for its busy practice. This individual will assist the physicians in Clinic by documenting physician’s exam findings and impression for each patient seen throughout the day, accurately recording the appropriate procedure codes, procedure notes, and diagnosis codes and logging patient test results and progress notes. Will also update the patient’s current medications, allergies, review of systems, and past health, social, and family history. Print patient prescriptions or fax them to their designated pharmacy and send appropriate documentation to referring doctors, primary care physicians, and surgical centers. Must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times. The qualified individual must be patient focused and must work well with team members. Surgery Scheduler for its busy practice. This individual will be responsible for the entire scheduling process including, but not limited to the following: Coordinate surgery with patient, hospital, anesthesia and physician’s schedule; adjust accordingly. Schedule lab, chest x-ray and EKG if indicated and schedule PASE (Mercy) or STAR (St. Luke’s) if indicated and appropriate. Schedule appointment with family physician or cardiologist if indicated. Will also perform other basic administrative duties. Prefer applicants with experience in a medical office performing similar functions. This position requires excellent customer service and organizational skills. The successful candidate must be detail oriented and must work well with patients and external resources.
